Infrared radiation (IR) is invisible but is responsible for the majority of the heat you feel from sunlight. Window films with high IR rejection can dramatically reduce the heat entering a vehicle or building even if the film appears relatively light in color. This is why ceramic films — which can achieve very high IR rejection — are often preferred for comfort even at lighter VLT levels.
